Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve the best results with R-TECH SC100e, ensure that your soldering iron tip is clean and properly tinned before starting. Because this solder is a no-clean, halide-free formula, it is best applied to surfaces that are free of heavy oxidation or contaminants. While the solder is compatible with most standard soldering irons, you may need to adjust your station temperature slightly higher than you would for standard leaded solder to compensate for the higher melting point of the alloy. Store the wire in a cool, dry place and keep it free of dust to maintain the integrity of the flux core. Always ensure adequate ventilation in your workspace, even when using low-residue or no-clean formulations.
