FAQs

Can the babybay be used with any bed type?

The babybay is highly adjustable and designed to fit most standard bed frames, though it is intended for use as a side-car co-sleeper.

Does it come with a mattress?

This model focuses on the co-sleeper frame; please verify your specific purchase if a mattress pad is included in your package.

Is the wood treated with chemicals?

The babybay Original (Untreated version) is crafted from natural, untreated, antibacterial beech wood, free from synthetic finishes.

How do I convert it to a bench?

Once your child outgrows the co-sleeper, simply remove the side panel and adjust the height to floor level to utilize it as a small bench.

Is this product safe for newborns?

Yes, it is designed for infants and is highly recommended by midwives, provided it is installed flush against the adult bed.

Troubleshooting

There is a slight gap between the co-sleeper and the adult bed.

Re-adjust the height settings on the base of the babybay to ensure the surface sits flush against your mattress edge.

The unit feels unstable.

Check that the mounting brackets are tightened fully against the adult bed frame and ensure all adjustable components are locked in place.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your babybay Original, ensure you have a clear space next to your mattress. The adjustable height mechanism should be calibrated so the babybay mattress level is exactly even with or slightly below your own. Use the included attachment system to secure the unit firmly to the frame of your bed. For daily care, wipe the solid beech wood surfaces with a clean, damp cloth. Since the wood is untreated, avoid using harsh chemicals or industrial cleaners. Regularly inspect the attachment brackets to ensure they remain tight and secure against your bed frame.
