Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure both surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from grease or dust.
- Carefully dispense equal amounts of the resin and hardener onto a clean, disposable surface.
- Thoroughly mix the two components until a uniform color is achieved. This typically takes about 60 seconds.
- Apply the mixed adhesive to one or both surfaces.
- Join the surfaces firmly and hold them in place for the initial set time (check packaging for specific times).
Compatibility:
This epoxy adhesive is generally compatible with wood, metal, most plastics, ceramics, glass, and concrete. It is not recommended for certain plastics like polyethylene or polypropylene, nor for use on fabrics or porous surfaces where absorption is high.
Care:
- Store the unused adhesive in its original packaging in a cool, dry place.
- Keep the caps tightly sealed when not in use.
- Clean up any uncured adhesive residue immediately with a suitable solvent (check product documentation for recommendations) or a damp cloth.
- Once cured, the adhesive is generally inert and can be cleaned with mild soap and water.
