Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve professional results, begin by cleaning your leather item with a specialized leather cleaner to remove wax, dirt, and oils that might prevent the dye from penetrating. Ensure the item is completely dry before beginning the application.
Always test the dye on an inconspicuous area, such as the inner tongue or the bottom of a heel, to ensure color accuracy and compatibility. Because this product is a permanent dye, it is critical to protect surrounding surfaces like tabletops or carpets with newspaper. After application, allow the leather to cure fully in a well-ventilated area for at least 24 hours before use. Regular maintenance using a standard leather conditioner after the dye has cured can help keep the material supple.
