FAQs

What material is the wall art made from?

The Decortie Tree of Life and Birds Botanical Metal Wall Decor is crafted from high-quality, powder-coated iron.

How does the 3D shadow effect work?

Integrated spacers are attached to the back of the artwork, allowing it to sit a short distance away from the wall. This gap creates a shadow when light hits the piece, giving it a dynamic, three-dimensional appearance.

Can this be used outdoors?

Yes, it is suitable for sheltered outdoor spaces like covered patios or porches. It should not be exposed to direct weather elements like rain or snow.

What are the dimensions of the wall art?

Please refer to the product specifications or packaging for exact dimensions, as they are not listed in this guide.

How do I clean the metal wall art?

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For tougher spots, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Does it come with mounting hardware?

Mounting hardware is typically not included with this type of decor. You will need to use appropriate screws and anchors for your wall type.

What does the 'Animal' pattern refer to?

The 'Animal' pattern designation likely refers to the bird silhouettes incorporated into the Tree of Life design, adding a natural element.

Troubleshooting

Artwork does not sit flush or is uneven.

Ensure mounting hardware is secure and that the wall surface is even. Adjust the tension of the mounting screws if necessary.

Shadow effect is not prominent.

Adjust the lighting in the room. The shadow effect is most noticeable with direct light sources hitting the artwork.

Artwork has scratches or chips.

For minor scratches, you may be able to use a black permanent marker or touch-up paint. For significant damage, contact customer support.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Adds artistic depth and a unique focal point to any room.
  • Durable construction ensures longevity.
  • Creates an engaging shadow effect that changes with light.
  • Easy to hang and update your decor.
  • Suitable for both indoor and sheltered outdoor spaces.

Cons

  • Only suitable for covered outdoor areas, not exposed to harsh weather.
  • The 'Animal' pattern designation might be misleading as the primary design is botanical.
  • Requires wall mounting hardware (not typically included in descriptions).

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Identify the desired location for the wall art.
  2. Use the integrated spacers to hold the piece slightly away from the wall.
  3. Secure the artwork to the wall using appropriate mounting hardware (e.g., screws, wall anchors, depending on your wall type and the weight of the piece – hardware not typically included).

Compatibility:

  • Ideal for most interior walls (drywall, plaster, wood).
  • Suitable for sheltered outdoor spaces like covered patios, balconies, or porches.
  • Avoid direct exposure to rain, snow, or intense sunlight.

Care:

  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry immediately.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or chemicals that could damage the powder coating.
