Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation is straightforward: ensure the soil is slightly damp to make insertion easier, then push the stem into the earth until the stake feels secure. If the ground is compacted or rocky, use a garden dibber or a narrow stake to create a pilot hole first. These stakes are compatible with most soil types, including clay and loam. Regarding care, the product is designed to be "set and forget." No oils, waxes, or paints are needed; in fact, any attempt to seal the metal may disrupt the desired rusting process. Be mindful of placing them directly against light-colored pavers, as rainwater may carry iron oxide runoff from the stake onto the ground during the initial settling period.
