The JCP Fixings A4-316 internal threaded sockets are engineered for professionals and serious DIY enthusiasts who require high-strength, corrosion-resistant anchor points in structural and mechanical assemblies. Providing a secure M10 internal thread, these sockets excel in harsh marine or outdoor environments where standard steel might degrade; however, users should note that they require precise pre-drilling and adhesive or mechanical anchoring depending on the specific substrate application.

Yes, the A4-316 grade stainless steel is specifically designed for marine and saltwater environments.
Each box contains 10 individual sockets.
No, these sockets are strictly for M10 size hardware.
You generally need a hammer drill for the masonry hole and a hex key or spanner for the M10 bolt installation, depending on the bolt head type.
While intended primarily for masonry or metal, they can be used in wood if a pre-drilled pilot hole is used and the socket is secured with an appropriate epoxy or mechanical lock.
The hole depth should be slightly greater than the 90mm length of the socket to allow for complete insertion.
Check the bolt for cross-threading or debris within the socket. Use a tap to clean the internal threads if necessary.
Ensure the anchor hole diameter is not oversized. If loose, consider using a high-strength chemical anchor resin.
To ensure a secure installation, always use a drill bit consistent with the manufacturer's recommended hole diameter for M10 threaded inserts. If using a chemical resin for anchoring, fill the hole approximately two-thirds of the way to avoid excess waste and ensure the socket is seated fully. While A4-316 steel is highly resistant to corrosion, it is not entirely immune to iron contamination; avoid using carbon steel tools to hammer or drive bolts into these sockets to prevent surface discoloration. If used in extreme coastal conditions, a periodic fresh-water washdown can further extend the lifespan and aesthetic finish of the visible fixings.
