Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure your amplifier and speakers are turned off and unplugged before making any connections.
- Using a wire stripper, carefully remove about 1cm of the outer jacket of the cable on both ends.
- Separate the two conductors slightly.
- Using wire strippers or a blade, carefully remove about 0.5cm of insulation from the end of each conductor.
- Identify the polarity line on one of the conductors; this indicates positive (+).
- Connect the conductor with the polarity line to the positive (+) terminal on your speaker and amplifier.
- Connect the other conductor to the negative (-) terminal on both your speaker and amplifier.
Compatibility:
This cable is compatible with virtually all amplifiers, receivers, and passive speakers that use standard speaker wire connections (e.g., binding posts, spring clips).
Care:
- Keep the cable away from excessive heat, moisture, and sharp objects.
- Regularly check connections for tightness and corrosion. Clean with a dry cloth if necessary.
- Avoid kinking or tightly coiling the cable, especially around the conductors, to maintain signal integrity.
