Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the rod, align the two sections until they are securely seated with no gaps at the joint. Ensure the eyes of the rod are perfectly aligned to prevent line friction. When attaching a reel, ensure it is locked firmly into the reel seat. For maintenance, rinse the rod with fresh, lukewarm water after every trip, especially when fishing in saltwater or brackish environments, to prevent corrosion on the guides. Store the rod in a clean, dry cloth or protective sleeve in a vertical position or laid flat without heavy objects resting on the tip. Avoid forcing the rod sections together or pulling them apart at the guides, as this can cause damage to the rod rings.
