FAQs
How often should I wash the Bona Microfibre Cleaning Pad?
Wash the pad whenever it appears dirty or its cleaning effectiveness decreases. It's designed for frequent washing and can withstand up to 500 cycles.
Can I use bleach to clean the pad?
It is not recommended to use bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the microfibre material and reduce its cleaning performance and lifespan.
What makes the dual-zone design effective?
The patented design features darker outer fibers to break up grime and lighter inner fibers with higher absorbency to trap and remove dirt, ensuring a streak-free finish.
Is this pad suitable for all types of hard floors?
Yes, the pad is specifically designed to be safe and effective for all wood and hard-surface floors, including laminate, tile, and vinyl.
How is this pad environmentally friendly?
The pad is made from over 90% recycled microfibre material and is reusable for up to 500 washes, significantly reducing waste compared to disposable pads.
Will this pad fit my Bona mop?
This pad is designed to fit the entire Bona family of mops, ensuring broad compatibility with Bona spray mop systems.
Can I use this pad with other cleaning solutions?
Yes, it can be used with water or your preferred Bona floor cleaning solutions. It's also suitable for applying Bona Floor Polishes or Oiled Wood Floor Refreshers.
Troubleshooting
Pad not attaching securely to mop.
Ensure the mop head and the back of the pad are free of debris. Check that the hook-and-loop fasteners are still in good condition. If worn, consider replacing the pad.
Streaks left on the floor after cleaning.
Ensure the pad is clean and not overloaded with dirt. Check if the mop's spray mechanism is dispensing solution evenly. The floor may also require a thorough rinse if cleaning product residue is present.
Reduced cleaning effectiveness.
The pad may need to be washed. Ensure you are not using fabric softener or excessive detergent when washing. Check the pad for excessive wear after many uses.
Pad has a persistent odor.
Wash the pad thoroughly with a mild detergent and consider adding a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. Ensure the pad is completely dry after washing before storing.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Bona Microfibre Cleaning Pad attaches easily to the Bona spray mop head, typically via Velcro or a similar hook-and-loop system. Ensure the pad is securely fastened before use.
Compatibility: This pad is designed to fit the entire Bona family of mops. While it can be used with other spray mops, optimal performance is guaranteed with Bona branded mops.
Care Instructions: The pad is both hand and machine washable. For best results and longevity:
- Machine Wash: Wash in a washing machine using a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can clog the microfibre pores and reduce effectiveness.
- Water Temperature: Use warm water (ideally below 60°C or 140°F).
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Avoid high heat, which can damage the microfibers.
- Washing Frequency: Wash as needed, but the pad is designed to withstand up to 500 washes.
