Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Determine the optimal placement for the tipper blocks on the vehicle or trailer to ensure maximum impact absorption.
- For a permanent installation, position the aluminium base plate and secure it using appropriate welding techniques. Ensure the weld penetrates both the aluminium base and the mounting surface.
- For less permanent mounting, consider using heavy-duty bolts and washers if the design allows, though welding is recommended for the most secure fit.
Compatibility:
These tipper blocks are generally compatible with most standard tipper trucks and trailers. Key considerations for compatibility include:
- Sufficient flat surface area on the mounting point for the 355mm x 75mm aluminium base.
- The application where the edge of a drop-down side or tipping surface makes contact.
Care:
- Periodically inspect the rubber pad for signs of excessive wear, cracking, or detachment.
- Clean the rubber pad with mild soap and water using a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could degrade the rubber.
- Check the integrity of the bond between the aluminium base and the rubber pad.
- If the aluminium base has been treated or painted, ensure the coating remains intact to prevent corrosion.
