Perfect for both herb enthusiasts and those looking to attract pollinators, this unique variety features striking lilac-purple flower spikes and sweet, fruity, grey-green leaves. FAQs

Is Mint 'Buddleia' safe to eat?

Yes, both the leaves and the lilac-purple flowers are edible and commonly used in culinary applications.

Does it need full sun?

It is highly adaptable and will thrive in both full sun and partial shade locations.

Can I plant this directly in my garden beds?

It is not recommended due to its invasive, spreading nature. Use a container or dedicated root barriers to keep it contained.

What should I do if the plant looks different than the image?

Each live plant is unique. As a natural product, variations in size, shape, and growth stage are normal.

How often should I water it?

You should water frequently enough to keep the soil consistently moist, as this plant does not tolerate dry conditions well.

Troubleshooting

Leaves appear wilted or dry

The plant is likely not receiving enough water. Increase the frequency of watering to ensure the soil remains consistently moist.

Plant is spreading into other garden areas

If planted in the ground, install root barriers immediately. If possible, transplant the mint into a sturdy container to prevent further root migration.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your GardenersDream Mint 'Buddleia' thrives, follow these essential care guidelines:

Container Planting: Always use a container to restrict the root system and prevent uncontrolled spreading throughout your garden.
Soil Management: Keep the soil consistently moist. Do not allow the growing medium to dry out completely, as this plant thrives in hydration.
Light Exposure: This variety is not fussy. Place it in a location with either full sun for maximum bloom production or partial shade if you prefer a cooler growing environment.
Handling: Your plant is supplied in a grower's pot. Transplant it into a slightly larger, well-draining container using high-quality potting compost to encourage healthy initial growth.
