FAQs

Can I use this cable with my iPhone 15?

Yes, this cable is fully compatible with the iPhone 15 series and supports its charging and data transfer requirements.

Does this support video output?

While primarily designed for high-speed data and power, it works with most USB-C display configurations that utilize DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Is this cable backward compatible?

Yes, the USB-C interface is backward compatible with older USB standards, though you will be limited to the speed of the slowest device in the chain.

Will this work with Thunderbolt 4 docks?

Yes, it is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 ports, though you may reach the maximum data rate of this cable (20Gbps) rather than the dock's peak Thunderbolt speed.

Does the cable come in different lengths?

This specific model is designed at a 1.5-metre length to offer the best balance of reach and signal integrity for high-speed data.

Troubleshooting

Device is not charging at full speed

Verify that your power adapter supports 100W USB-PD (Power Delivery) and is plugged into a wall outlet capable of providing the necessary wattage.

Data transfer speeds are slower than expected

Check that the host device port and the peripheral device both support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2; older USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports will default to lower speeds.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Supports rapid 20Gbps data transfer speeds
  • High 100W power capacity handles demanding laptops
  • Broad compatibility with Thunderbolt 3/4 and USB4
  • Optimal 1.5m length for workstation versatility

Cons

  • Maximum speed limited by device port specifications
  • Not compatible with legacy micro-USB or Lightning devices
  • Requires USB-PD certified chargers for full 100W performance

Setup, Compatibility & Care

For setup, simply align the USB-C connector with your device port and insert it firmly until it seats completely. While the cable is built for daily wear, avoid tightly coiling the cord to prevent internal fatigue. Compatibility is broad, covering USB-C, USB4, and Thunderbolt 3/4 ports. To maintain optimal performance, keep the connector pins clean of debris or lint and ensure that both the device and the power source are fully compatible with the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 standard for peak throughput.
