Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Placement: Place the filter unit below the water level of your aquarium. This ensures optimal performance and prevents backflow.
- Hose Connections: Connect the hoses to the filter unit and the aquarium, ensuring a tight seal to prevent leaks.
- Filter Media: Install the filter media according to the instructions. This typically involves placing the mechanical and biological filtration components in the designated compartments.
- Prime the Filter: Fill the filter with water to initiate the filtration process. This removes air pockets and ensures the filter starts working efficiently.
- Power On: Plug in the filter and check for proper operation. Adjust the flow rate as needed.
