Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Remove any dust, grease, or old adhesive.
- Unroll the vinyl and measure the area to be covered. Use the cutting grid on the reverse side to trim the vinyl to size, allowing for a slight overlap if necessary.
- Carefully peel back a small section of the backing paper.
- Align the vinyl with the edge of the surface and begin to apply, gradually peeling the backing paper as you go.
- Use a felt-edge smoother or a credit card to press the vinyl down firmly, working from the center outwards to remove air bubbles.
- For corners or edges, a hairdryer can be used to gently warm the vinyl, making it more flexible for easier application. Trim any excess with a utility cutter.
Compatibility:
This vinyl film is suitable for application on any flat, smooth, and non-porous surface, including wood, laminate, metal, and glass. It is not recommended for textured, unpainted, or overly porous surfaces where adhesion may be compromised.
Care:
- Wipe up spills immediately to prevent staining.
- Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can scratch the surface.
- For areas around sinks and hobs, apply a suitable sealant along the edges to prevent moisture ingress and lifting.
- Heat resistance is up to 70ºC; do not place hot pans or dishes directly on the surface.
