FAQs
What makes the colors 'metallic'?
The metallic colors contain fine, shimmering particles that reflect light, giving them a distinct shiny and metallic appearance compared to standard colors.
Are the included cards suitable for framing?
Yes, the cards are made of quality 260 gsm black drawing paper and can be framed after completion, especially the blank ones.
Can I use other art supplies with these cards?
The 260 gsm cardstock is quite versatile and can accommodate other dry media like charcoal or gouache, but be mindful of potential smudging with softer media.
What age range is this product best suited for?
While suitable for all ages, it's recommended for individuals aged 3 and up due to small parts. It's ideal for beginners and experienced artists alike who enjoy creative crafting.
How many cards are included in total?
The set includes a total of 12 cards: 10 illustrated Christmas-themed cards and 2 blank black cards.
Are the drawing tools washable?
The fiber-tipped pens use water-based ink and may be washable from skin and some fabrics. The wax oil pastels and colored pencils are generally not considered washable in the same way, but surface cleaning with mild soap and water might be effective for accidental marks.
What is the advantage of using wax oil pastels?
Wax oil pastels offer a rich, creamy texture, excellent covering power, and are water-resistant once applied, allowing for layering and unique blending techniques.
Troubleshooting
Fiber-tipped pen not drawing
Ensure the pen cap was securely closed. Try gently shaking the pen and test on a scrap surface. If the ink flow is still poor, the pen may be dry.
Pastel application is patchy
Apply more pressure or layer the pastel. Ensure the surface of the card is clean and free from dust, which can interfere with adhesion.
Colored pencil lead breaks easily
Use lighter pressure when coloring. While the pencils are designed to be soft, excessive force can cause breakage. Ensure pencils are sharpened carefully, avoiding over-sharpening.

Compatibility: The drawing tools are designed for use on the included cards and envelopes. The cardstock is suitable for the provided pastels, pens, and pencils.
Care: Store the box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the quality of the art materials.
