FAQs
Is the NXC Net Float compatible with all landing nets?
It is designed to be compatible with most makes and models thanks to its adjustable Velcro fastening system.
Does the float come off easily when I need to pack away?
Yes, the Velcro system allows for quick and easy removal from the net pole at the end of your session.
Will this help with very large carp nets?
Yes, the ultra-buoyant foam is designed to support standard carp landing net heads effectively.
How do I clean the float?
Rinse with fresh water after use and wipe down with a damp cloth if it becomes muddy. Allow it to air dry.
Does it impact the maneuverability of the net?
It adds very minimal drag, which is generally offset by the benefit of having a net that stays at the surface.
Troubleshooting
Float slides down the pole during use
Ensure the Velcro strap is pulled tight over the spreader block to create a secure anchor point.
Mesh keeps snagging on bottom debris
Check that the elastic net retainer is properly positioned around the mesh to hold it securely against the float.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Prevents landing nets from sinking into weeds
- Easy to fit and remove from various net poles
- Prevents deep mesh snagging with integrated retainers
- Compact and lightweight profile
- Stylish camo finish matching the NXC luggage range
Cons
- Adds minor drag in the water during high-speed movements
- Requires manual adjustment for varying spreader block sizes
- Not intended for use with extremely small sub-surface nets
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, simply slide the float onto your net pole, position it behind the spreader block, and secure it firmly using the provided Velcro fastening. Ensure the elastic retainer is looped around the mesh to keep it clear of snags. The float is designed for universal compatibility, but it is recommended to check the fit against your specific spreader block during initial setup. To maintain the product, rinse with fresh water after each session—especially after use in salt or brackish water—and allow it to air dry fully before storing it with your other NXC luggage to prevent moisture buildup.
