These plugs are designed specifically for stranded cable. Using them with solid core wire may result in a less reliable connection.
While they fit in standard RJ45 tools, using a pass-through compatible crimping tool is recommended as it will automatically trim the wires extending from the front.
They are universal RJ45 connectors compatible with various twisted pair cables, provided the conductor thickness does not exceed 24 AWG.
