Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve optimal performance, ensure your timber substrate is dry and free from pre-existing rot. While these nails are corrosion-resistant, they should not be used in direct contact with incompatible metals, which can cause galvanic corrosion.
- Select the correct length (35mm) to ensure at least 2/3 of the nail penetrates the timber substrate.
- Use a hammer with a clean face to prevent metal transfer onto the copper.
- Store in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the packaging.
- If working in extremely hard timber, pre-drill a pilot hole to prevent the nail shank from bending.
