Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before using your new Salter Chester pans for the first time, wash them in warm, soapy water and dry them thoroughly. While the enamel coating makes the pans more resistant to food adhesion, it is recommended to use wooden, silicone, or heat-resistant plastic utensils to maintain the surface finish.
Compatibility: These pans are fully compatible with all hob types, including induction. Always match the size of your pan base to the appropriately sized burner to maximize energy efficiency.
Care: Although the pans have an enamel coating, they should always be hand-washed with mild detergent and a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid sudden temperature changes—such as plunging a hot pan into cold water—to prevent thermal shock, which can damage the enamel.
