Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Determine Placement: Decide where on the door and frame you want to install the bolt and receiver.
- Mark Positions: Hold the bolt and receiver in place and mark the screw hole locations.
- Drill Pilot Holes: (Optional but recommended for wood) Drill small pilot holes for the screws.
- Attach Bolt: Secure the main bolt body to the door using the provided 304 stainless steel screws.
- Attach Receiver: Secure the receiver plate to the door frame where the bolt will slide in.
Compatibility:
These door bolts are compatible with most standard interior wooden doors, including those found in bathrooms, bedrooms, and cupboards. They are also suitable for shed wooden doors. Installation requires a flat mounting surface on both the door and the frame.
Care:
To maintain the appearance and functionality:
- Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the stainless steel surface.
- Periodically check that screws are tight and the bolt action is smooth. A drop of lubricant can be used if needed.
