Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Check:
Before purchasing, it is crucial to determine the correct fitting for your furniture. If your existing legs use bolts, measure the bolt size using a nut. Try an 8mm nut: if it fits, you need M8 bolts. If it's too small, try a 10mm nut (requiring M10 bolts). If it's too big, you need M6 bolts. If your furniture has pre-drilled holes for wood screws, ensure they are compatible with the self-fixing screw size (typically 6mm).
Installation:
- Bolt Fittings: Screw the new feet into the corresponding threaded inserts on your furniture. Ensure they are hand-tightened firmly.
- Self-Fixing Fittings: Position the furniture leg and secure it using appropriate 6mm wood screws (not always supplied). Ensure screws penetrate securely into the furniture base.
Care:
Clean the furniture feet with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture, which could damage the wood finish. Periodically check that the feet remain securely attached to the furniture.
