FAQs
Is this catnip safe for kittens?
Yes, it is safe as it is 100% organic and free from chemicals. However, very young kittens (under 6 months) may not yet have developed a sensitivity to catnip.
How much catnip should I use?
A small sprinkle, about a teaspoon or less, is usually sufficient to entice your cat. You can adjust the amount based on your cat's reaction.
Will my cat get addicted to this catnip?
Catnip is not addictive. Cats typically enjoy the temporary euphoric or playful effects and then lose interest for a period.
How long does the effect of catnip last?
The active effects typically last for about 5 to 15 minutes, followed by a refractory period of an hour or more during which the cat may not respond.
Can I give this catnip to my dog?
Catnip is specifically intended for cats and does not typically have a noticeable effect on dogs.
What does 'organically grown' mean for this catnip?
It means the catnip was grown according to organic farming standards, without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers.
How should I store the catnip to keep it fresh?
Keep it in the original resealable bag, ensuring it is tightly sealed, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting
Cat shows no interest in the catnip.
This is normal for some cats. Factors like age, genetics, or mood can influence their reaction. Try presenting it again at a different time or on a different type of toy.
Cat becomes overly aggressive or anxious.
While rare, some cats may have an unusual reaction. If this occurs, discontinue use immediately and remove the catnip from their environment.
Catnip loses its potency quickly.
