Setup & Application
Getting the most out of your Natasha Denona HY-GLAM Foundation starts with proper application. Follow these steps for a flawless finish:
- Prepare Your Skin: Begin with a freshly cleansed and moisturized face. For optimal longevity and an even canvas, consider applying your preferred primer.
- Dispense Product: Gently shake the foundation bottle before use. Dispense a small amount onto the back of your hand, a dedicated mixing palette, or directly onto your chosen applicator.
- Apply to Face: Using a foundation brush, a damp makeup sponge, or clean fingertips, dot the foundation onto the key areas of your face – typically the forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks.
- Blend Seamlessly: Working from the center of your face outwards, blend the foundation evenly. Pay attention to blending along your jawline, neck, and hairline to avoid harsh lines.
- Build Coverage (Optional): If you require additional coverage in certain spots, apply a second, thin layer to those specific areas and gently blend. Avoid applying too much product at once to maintain the natural, 'second-skin' effect.
- Set (Optional): For those who prefer a more mattified look or desire extended wear, a light dusting of translucent setting powder, particularly on the T-zone, can be applied. While the foundation is 'self-setting' for a radiant finish, powder can customize its longevity and appearance.
Compatibility
The HY-GLAM Foundation is formulated to integrate smoothly into your existing beauty routine. It is generally compatible with:
- Primers: Works well with both hydrating and blurring primers to enhance finish and wear time.
- Concealers: Pairs exceptionally well with its counterpart, the Natasha Denona HY-GLAM Concealer, for a cohesive and perfected complexion.
- Setting Powders: Can be used with any finely milled setting powder to adjust the finish or increase wear.
Care & Storage
Proper care ensures your foundation maintains its quality and extends its usable life.
- Storage: Keep the foundation in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. This helps prevent formula degradation.
- Hygiene: Always use clean hands or regularly sanitized makeup tools (brushes, sponges) when applying the product to prevent bacterial growth and maintain product purity.
- Shelf Life: Refer to the 'Period After Opening' (PAO) symbol, typically a jar icon with a number followed by 'M' (e.g., 12M), located on the product packaging. Discard the product once this period has passed to ensure optimal performance and safety.
