To begin, simply wash the bottle with warm, soapy water before the first use. When closing the bottle, ensure the metal locking bail is pushed down over the push-button; this prevents the top from accidentally popping open. For long-term care, the bottle is dishwasher safe on the top rack. If you notice any stubborn odors after extended use, a solution of water and white vinegar left to soak overnight will refresh the Tritan material. Avoid using abrasive scrubbers that could scratch the finish.
