Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting your Velosso Onyx Thermal Blackout Curtains ready is straightforward, thanks to their practical design.
Setup Instructions
- Measure Your Window: Before purchase, measure the width and height of your window. For eyelet curtains, it's generally recommended that the curtain width be 1.5 to 2 times the width of your curtain pole to achieve a full, gathered look when closed. For length, measure from the top of your curtain pole to where you want the curtain to end (e.g., sill length, below sill, or floor length).
- Install Curtain Rod: Ensure you have a sturdy curtain rod securely installed above your window frame. The rod should extend at least 15-30 cm (6-12 inches) beyond the window frame on each side to allow the curtains to fully cover the window when closed.
- Hang the Curtains: Simply slide the eyelets of the curtains onto your curtain rod. Alternate the direction of the first and last eyelet for a neat finish, allowing the fabric to fold naturally.
- Adjust the Gather: Evenly distribute the fabric along the rod to create your desired pleat and gather, ensuring smooth movement.
Compatibility
- Curtain Rods: These eyelet curtains are designed for use with standard curtain rods. Ensure your rod's diameter is compatible with the eyelet size for smooth gliding.
- Window Sizes: With a variety of ready-made sizes available, these curtains are compatible with most common window dimensions. Always check the specific curtain dimensions against your window and pole measurements.
Care Instructions
> Info needed: Specific washing, drying, ironing, and cleaning instructions should be detailed on the product's care label. Generally, thermal blackout curtains may require gentle washing or spot cleaning to maintain their integrity and blackout properties. Avoid harsh chemicals or high heat, which can damage the thermal backing.
