Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup: Upon receiving the bike, ensure all components are securely fastened. The bike typically comes partially assembled. Professional assembly is recommended to ensure correct setup of brakes, gears, and suspension. Consult the owner's manual for detailed instructions.
Battery Care: The 600 Wh PowerTube battery is removable. For charging, use the provided Bosch charger. Store the battery in a cool, dry place, ideally with a charge level between 30-60% for long-term storage. Avoid extreme temperatures.
Suspension Care: Keep the fork and rear shock stanchions clean. Regularly wipe them down with a soft, damp cloth after riding to remove dirt and debris. Refer to the RockShox and Trek suspension manuals for specific maintenance schedules regarding seal cleaning and lubrication.
Drivetrain Maintenance: Clean and lubricate the chain regularly. The Shimano CUES drivetrain is designed for durability, but regular cleaning will ensure optimal shifting performance. Check derailleur alignment periodically.
Brake Care: Ensure hydraulic disc brake pads and rotors are clean. Avoid contamination with oils or lubricants. Check brake fluid levels periodically and have them serviced if performance degrades.
Cleaning: Use mild soap and water with a soft brush or sponge to clean the frame and components. Avoid high-pressure washers, especially around bearings and the motor.
Upgrades: The bike is compatible with an 800 Wh battery upgrade and the Bosch PowerMore booster battery. These can be retrofitted by a dealer.
