FAQs
What are the exact dimensions of the pergola?
The pergola measures 297cm in length, 211cm in width, and has a height of 220cm.
Is the canopy waterproof?
The fabric canopy is designed for shade and offers water resistance with drainage grommets for light rain. It is not fully waterproof for heavy downpours.
Can this pergola be installed as a freestanding unit?
No, this is a lean-to pergola and must be mounted to a wall for stability and support.
What tools are needed for assembly?
While mounting hardware is included, you will likely need basic tools such as a drill, screwdriver, and potentially a ladder for secure installation.
How should I clean the fabric canopy?
Spot clean the canopy with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow it to air dry completely before retracting.
What is the material of the frame?
The frame is constructed from robust, powder-coated steel for durability and weather resistance.
Can the canopy be removed for winter storage?
The canopy is designed to be moved and adjusted. While it can be retracted, full removal for long-term storage is typically not required but consult the manual for specific recommendations.
Troubleshooting
Pergola feels unstable
Ensure all screws and bolts are tightened securely. Verify that the ground stakes and expansion screws are properly anchored into firm ground or the wall.
Canopy does not move smoothly
Check for any obstructions along the canopy's track. Ensure the fabric is not caught or twisted. Clean the track mechanism if it appears dirty.
Water pooling on the canopy
Confirm that the grommet holes are clear and not blocked by debris. Ensure the canopy is angled correctly to allow for natural drainage away from the structure.
Frame shows signs of rust
Clean the affected area gently. Apply a touch-up paint specifically designed for outdoor metal structures to prevent further corrosion.
