Product Information

Full details

This Nuie Concealed Cistern with Matt Black Traditional Round Dual Flush Push Buttons is designed for homeowners and designers seeking a sleek, space-saving, and stylish solution for modern bathrooms. Its key benefit is the ability to create a clean, uncluttered look while offering water-efficient dual flush functionality. A potential caveat is that while fittings are supplied, the flush plate itself might require separate consideration depending on the specific installation, and the cistern feed is specifically bottom left.

Troubleshooting

Cistern not filling

Check that the water supply valve is fully open. Inspect the inlet valve for any blockages or damage. Ensure the water level adjustment screw is not set too low.

Water constantly running into the toilet bowl

The flush valve seal may be worn or dirty. Access the cistern (front or top) and clean or replace the flush valve seal. Ensure the flush valve is properly seated.

Low water level in cistern

Adjust the water level screw on the inlet valve to increase the water level. Refer to the product manual for precise adjustment instructions.

Weak flush performance

Ensure the cistern is filling to the correct water level. Check that the flush valve is operating correctly and not obstructed. Verify that the flush plate is fully activating the flush mechanism.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Enhances bathroom aesthetics with a clean, minimalist look.
  • Promotes water conservation through its dual flush system.
  • Durable construction ensures a long product lifespan.
  • Simplifies installation with included fittings.
  • Matt black finish adds a touch of modern sophistication.

Cons

  • Specific bottom left cistern feed entry may limit placement options.
  • Requires a compatible back-to-wall toilet.
  • Does not include the flush plate itself in some configurations, requiring separate purchase.
  • Plastic construction, while durable, may be perceived as less premium than ceramic by some.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: This concealed cistern is designed for installation within a suitable wall cavity or furniture unit. Ensure the location can accommodate the cistern's dimensions (H:296.0 x W:340.0 x D:142.0 mm). The bottom left cistern feed entry simplifies plumbing connection. All necessary fittings for the cistern itself are supplied. Professional installation is recommended, especially for first-time users, to ensure correct integration with the toilet and plumbing system.

Compatibility: This cistern is specifically designed for use with back-to-wall toilet pans. Ensure your chosen toilet pan is compatible with a concealed cistern system. The dual flush push buttons (sold separately or as part of a set) are compatible with this cistern.

Care: To maintain the appearance of the matt black finish, clean the flush buttons regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish. The internal components of the cistern require access from the front or top for maintenance; ensure this access is considered during installation.
