This 40V XGT Starter Package includes a BL4020 2.0ah XGT Battery and XGT Rapid Charger. The Makita BL4020 40Vmax 2.0Ah battery is part of the XGT range, providing a solution for high-demand industrial applications. The battery's IPX4 rating makes it water-resistant and built to withstand splashes. Each battery has impact-absorbing padding and a heavy-duty outer casing. The XGT range of tools and batteries have a built-in program that provides digital communication between the tool and batteries. The Makita DC40RA is a fast charger developed for charging XGT Li-Ion batteries. Equipped with two cooling fans, one for the battery and the other for the charging circuit enabling it to charge consecutive batteries at the optimum charge time. It takes approximately 28 minutes to fully charge a 2.5 Ah battery. The tool-battery communication allows for a higher potential extraction rate compared to LXT Li-ion batteries.
