FAQs

What is the weight capacity of the chair?

The chair is built with a robust, powder-coated steel frame designed for standard heavy-duty use, supporting most adult users comfortably.

Can I remove the seat for cleaning?

Yes, the seat is detachable, which makes cleaning the fabric and maintaining the frame much easier.

Does it fit inside all fishing bivvies?

With a width of 98cm, it is quite wide. We recommend measuring your shelter's internal floor space to ensure clearance.

Are the mud feet adjustable?

The four outer feet are swivel-style mud feet that automatically adjust to the angle of the terrain to provide a stable base.

What materials are used for the frame?

The frame is made from powder-coated steel with integrated cross-braced support bars to ensure durability and prevent twisting.

Troubleshooting

Chair feels unstable on soft ground

Ensure the four swivel mud feet are adjusted to sit flat on the surface and confirm the two center support feet are firmly locked in place.

Difficult to fold down

Check that no fabric or gear is caught in the cross-braced support hinges and ensure the quick-up mechanism is fully disengaged.

Fabric stained or dirty

Remove the seat from the frame and hand wash with lukewarm water and a soft brush; allow to air dry completely away from direct heat.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely comfortable for long-duration use
Excellent stability on uneven terrain due to 6-point system
Fleece lining adds valuable warmth in cold conditions
Detachable seat allows for easy cleaning and transport
Robust powder-coated steel frame resists corrosion

Cons

Heavier at 7.4kg compared to minimalist camping chairs
Relatively wide footprint may not fit in very compact shelters
Requires a slightly larger carry space in vehicles

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the chair, simply release the locking straps and unfold the frame until the cross-braced bars click into their resting position. Ensure all six feet are making contact with the ground to maximize the stability system. For maintenance, the seat component can be detached for deep cleaning; simply wipe the 600D material with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using abrasive chemicals on the powder-coated frame to prevent finish degradation. When storing, ensure the chair is completely dry before placing it into the provided carry bag to prevent mildew buildup on the fleece lining.
