Full details
This Wildlife World Solitary Bee Hive is an interactive and educational habitat, beneficial for the garden and gardener by attracting essential garden pollinators. Solitary bees are non-swarming and safe around children and pets. The precisely specified hole sizes attract bees like the Red Mason Bee and Leafcutter Bee. This beehive provides a habitat that has become harder to find in modern gardens. It's fascinating for educational purposes; you can carefully separate the trays to view the formation of small cells where eggs are laid or predators have been active. Site it in a sunny position facing south to south-east for morning sun, mounted between ground level and 1.5m. Made from durable certified timber, it requires no chemical treatments. Inspect stacking trays after bee activity ceases (Autumn/Winter) and protect full bee tubes with mesh to prevent predation by woodpeckers. Dimensions: 180 x 180 x 165 mm. Weight: 1.04kg.
