Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Measure the width of the doorway and the height difference between the two flooring surfaces.
- Cut the Cayrus A01 trim to the exact width of the doorway using an appropriate cutting tool for metal (e.g., a hacksaw or metal-cutting saw).
- Prepare the subfloor by ensuring both flooring surfaces are securely laid and level at the point of transition.
- Position the trim to cover the gap between the flooring materials, ensuring it sits flush on both sides.
- Secure the trim using appropriate fixings (screws or adhesive, depending on subfloor and manufacturer recommendations) through the pre-drilled holes or by adhering it firmly to the subfloor.
Compatibility:
This trim is compatible with a wide array of flooring types including, but not limited to:
- Wooden flooring
- Laminate flooring
- Carpet
- Vinyl flooring
- Tiled floors
It is designed for floors with different levels, bridging gaps up to the maximum height difference it can accommodate based on its profile. Always check the specific height tolerance for your installation.
Care:
To maintain the appearance and integrity of the anodised aluminium finish:
- Clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the anodised surface.
- For stubborn marks, use a mild soap and water solution, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
