These Knipex Stepcut 160mm Cable Shears offer comfortable and efficient cutting without crushing. With a compact size of only 160mm, they are designed for comfortable use. The unique step-cut design allows for up to 40% less effort compared to standard cable shears of the same length by cutting wires sequentially. The ergonomic handle design ensures optimal comfort, even when cutting larger cable diameters. These shears can cut multi-core stranded copper and aluminium cables up to 15mm in diameter (50mm²) and solid copper and aluminium cables up to 5 x 4mm². They feature a bolted joint for precision and durability, and include a pinch guard for safe operation. The cutting edges are induction-hardened to approximately 56 HRC for enhanced longevity. Made from high-grade special tool steel, forged, and oil-hardened. Please note: not suitable for steel wire and hard-drawn copper conductors.
