Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install this gasket, first ensure the washing machine is disconnected from the power supply and the water inlet hoses are turned off. You will need a flat-head screwdriver to remove the inner and outer retaining springs (or clips) that hold the seal in place.
- Remove the front trim or door assembly as necessary.
- Carefully peel the old seal from the drum lip and the front panel.
- Align the new gasket, paying attention to any drainage holes at the bottom, and seat it firmly against the drum.
- Reattach the retaining springs securely to lock the seal in position.
For ongoing care, wipe the gasket down with a damp cloth after every wash cycle to remove residue, hair, or small items that could cause tears. Keeping the door slightly ajar when the machine is not in use prevents mold and mildew buildup on the rubber surface.
