These are specifically designed for two-piece rods as the elastic adjustment is calibrated for the segments of those models.
While you can use them alone, they are primarily intended to supplement existing rod holdalls or quivers to provide extra protection.
The materials are durable and protective, but they are not fully waterproof, so avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain.
The slim top section (10cm x 4cm) is designed for standard tips; check that your butt eye doesn't exceed the width of the tip protector.
