The Sealey YT17 Easy-Entry Ring Terminal is an essential component for automotive technicians and electricians who require robust, reliable electrical connections. Engineered for 12-10 AWG cable sizes with a 13mm (1/2 inch) ring diameter, these terminals facilitate secure, long-lasting conductivity in high-vibration environments. While the yellow color-coding simplifies gauge identification, users must ensure they possess the appropriate crimping tool to guarantee a professional-grade mechanical bond.

These terminals are specifically designed for 12-10 AWG wire.
It is not recommended. The terminal is sized for 12-10 AWG, and a smaller gauge wire may result in a weak, unreliable crimp.
The 13mm measurement refers to the hole diameter, designed to fit 1/2-inch studs.
Yes, they feature a yellow colored plastic insulation that provides strain relief and prevents short circuits.
While some professionals prefer to solder, these are engineered primarily for mechanical crimping. Always check local automotive standards for your specific application.
Ensure you are using the correct crimping die size for the terminal and that the wire gauge is indeed 12-10 AWG.
The 13mm ring is designed for specific studs. Ensure the mounting bolt is tightened to the manufacturer's recommended torque.
Check that the terminal has not been over-crimped, which can fracture the copper, or under-crimped, which prevents a proper bond.
To achieve optimal performance, ensure your wire is stripped to the correct length—usually 6-8mm—so that the conductor seats fully into the metal sleeve without extending too far past the terminal.
