Setup, Compatibility & Care
To prepare your planter for use, first decide if you require drainage. If planting directly into the ceramic, add a two-inch layer of LECA (lightweight expanded clay aggregate) or gravel at the bottom to act as a reservoir for excess water. For maintenance, wipe the glazed exterior with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and maintain the luster of the finish. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads, as these can scratch or dull the glazed ceramic surface. During winter months, if kept outdoors, ensure the pot is moved to a frost-free area, as extreme freezing temperatures can cause ceramic vessels to crack.
