Each set is rated to support a maximum door weight of 10kg.
While they are rust-resistant and suitable for moderate salt atmospheres, they are primarily designed for indoor bar and furniture applications.
The pack includes 12 countersunk screws compatible with a 4.0mm gauge.
The material thickness is 2.5mm, providing a robust and stable connection.
These hinges feature a square corner design, which requires a chisel for proper mortising.
Check that the mortise depth is consistent across the hinge plate and ensure no wood fibers are preventing the hinge from seating fully.
Apply a small amount of non-staining lubricant or silicone spray directly to the brass pin area.
Ensure you have pre-drilled a pilot hole appropriate for the 4.0mm gauge screws to avoid splitting the timber.
To install these hinges, you will need a 4.0mm screw gauge as specified by the included countersunk screws. Begin by marking the hinge position on the door edge and the counter frame, ensuring the square corners are properly recessed with a sharp chisel to ensure a flush fit. When installing in coastal areas, occasionally wiping down the brass with a light silicone-based oil can help maintain the finish. Always ensure that the hinge pin is fully seated and that the alignment is perfectly perpendicular to the pivot axis to prevent binding during operation.
