The kenable 000825 Null Modem cable is designed for IT professionals and hobbyists who need to establish reliable serial communication between legacy devices, such as connecting a D9 serial port to a D25 port. This 2-metre cable offers high signal integrity through its foil shielding and gold-flashed contacts, making it a robust solution for data transfer; however, users should ensure their specific hardware requires a 'null modem' configuration, as it is not a standard straight-through extension cable.

No, this is a null modem cable. It is internally cross-wired to allow DTE-to-DTE communication.
Most modern printers use USB. This cable is specifically for legacy serial-based hardware.
The cable uses 28 AWG wire.
The cable features gold-flashed contacts to improve signal conductivity.
The null modem configuration handles standard serial handshaking, but check your specific device pinout to ensure it matches the wiring of this cable.
Verify that your devices strictly require a null modem cable. Some devices require straight-through cables or specific pinout adapters.
Ensure both connectors are firmly seated in their respective ports and that no heavy EMI sources are placed directly against the cable.
To ensure proper functionality, verify that both your source and destination devices support the RS-232 serial standard and that a 'null modem' crossover configuration is required by your equipment manual.
