This Makita 18V 4.0Ah Li-Ion LXT Battery offers an unbeatable 36-minute charge time and up to 33% extra runtime and extended battery life. It is the same size and weight as the 3.0Ah BL1830 and is compatible with your current Li-ion chargers. The battery features computer-controlled optimum charging, compatibility with starred and yellow terminal machines, and a cooling system for maximum battery life. Its battery protection circuit and LXT Lithium-Ion technology provide 280% total lifetime work with 2x more cycles. With 5x lower self-discharge, the battery remains active and ready for use even after long storage periods. Charging at any time will not affect the battery. Built-in shock-absorbing features protect the battery, and sixteen firm holding contact terminals reduce the risk of power loss in high vibration environments. The built-in Memory Chip communicates with the charger to maximize battery life using 3 Active Controls (Current, Voltage, Thermal). This battery is suitable for all Makita Li-ion LXT 18-volt machines.
