Full details
The NUVO Dood is a revolutionary instrument designed to introduce young musicians to the world of single-reed instruments. It serves as a natural progression for children who have played the recorder, offering an early introduction to single-reed techniques. With a pleasant, clarinet-like tone, the Dood is a valuable addition to any musical ensemble. The instrument features recorder-like fingering and a straightforward, robust key system, making it easy for small hands to manage. Tuned to the key of C, it is fully chromatic over one octave and includes additional notes in the second register. The Dood boasts a chromatic range of one octave and a simple, durable key cover system, specifically engineered for smaller hands to enhance playability. Each DooD is completely waterproof, allowing for frequent cleaning with warm, soapy water. It comes complete with two Nuvo resin reeds (compatible with Eb Clarinet reeds), a durable case, a fingering chart, and a clarinet-style mouthpiece. We are confident that the engaging and colorful DooD instruments will be an excellent choice for young children and educational institutions, fostering a fun learning environment that encourages continued musical engagement. The instrument utilizes the same mouthpiece and reed system as the Clarino. The Dood 2.0 model is in black and blue.
