Full details
The DJI Osmo Action Extreme Battery Plus is designed for DJI Osmo Action 5 camera users seeking extended recording times and reliable power in challenging environments. Its key benefit is providing up to 240 minutes of recording time at room temperature, with a caveat of potential performance reduction in extremely cold conditions, though it maintains operation down to -20° C. FAQs
What is the capacity of the DJI Osmo Action Extreme Battery Plus?
The battery has a capacity of 1950mAh.
How long can I record with this battery?
At room temperature (25°C), you can achieve up to 240 minutes of recording time when shooting 1080p at 24fps with RockSteady on, and Wi-Fi and screens off.
Does this battery work with the Osmo Action 3?
Yes, it is compatible with the Osmo Action 3, but requires an updated camera firmware.
What is the operating temperature range for this battery?
The battery reliably operates in temperatures from -20° C to 45° C.
How long does it take to fast charge this battery?
Using the DJI 30W USB-C Charger, the battery can reach a full charge in approximately 53 minutes.
Can I use any USB-C charger to charge this battery?
While it can be charged with various USB-C chargers, using the DJI 30W USB-C Charger is recommended for optimal fast-charging speeds.

Troubleshooting
Battery not recognized by camera
Ensure the battery is fully inserted and the compartment is securely closed. Check for any debris on the battery contacts or within the camera's battery slot. Verify camera firmware is up-to-date if using with Osmo Action 4 or 3.
Reduced recording time in cold weather
This is expected behavior for all batteries in cold conditions. Keep the battery warm when not in use (e.g., in an inside pocket) to maximize performance. While it operates at -20°C, efficiency is highest near room temperature.
Battery not charging
Confirm that the USB-C charger is properly connected to the battery and the power source. Ensure you are using a compatible charger (e.g., DJI 30W USB-C Charger) for fast charging. Try a different outlet or USB port.
Battery overheats during charging or use
Disconnect the charger immediately if overheating occurs during charging. Avoid using the camera in extremely hot environments where the battery might exceed its operating temperature limit (45°C). If overheating persists, contact support.
