Setup, Compatibility & Care
This shovel arrives ready for immediate use. To maintain its longevity, ensure the blade is wiped clean of mud and moisture after every use, especially after working with acidic or wet soils. If the metal surface becomes exposed through scratches, applying a light coat of machine oil or protective wax can help prevent oxidation. Store the shovel in a dry shed or garage, ideally hanging off the ground, to keep the handle free from dampness and rot. While the tool is compatible with all ground types, avoid using it as a lever for prying out large rocks, as this can put unnecessary strain on the handle connection.
