Yes, its articulated design and durable CORDURA reinforcement make it well-suited for kayaking and other high-activity paddle sports.
It is recommended to lubricate the zipper whenever you notice increased resistance or at least once every few uses to maintain the seal.
The integrated fabric socks are designed to be worn inside sailing boots or water shoes to prevent friction damage to the fabric.
Small tears in the fabric can often be repaired with a specialized drysuit repair kit; however, for seal damage, professional repair is recommended.
Yes, the GCX4 EVO fabric is designed to be breathable, allowing moisture vapor to escape while keeping liquid water out.
Clean the zipper track of any sand or salt, then apply a specialized zipper lubricant to ensure smooth movement.
Check the glide skin seals for any small tears or hair trapped under the seal; if the seals are aged, they may require professional replacement.
Verify that all seams are intact and check that the relief zip is fully closed and seated properly.
To ensure the longevity of your drysuit, proper care is essential. Always rinse the suit thoroughly with fresh water after every use, especially after exposure to saltwater, as crystalized salt can damage the seals and zipper teeth. When donning the suit, ensure that no jewelry or sharp objects are near the glide skin seals to prevent tears. Apply a recommended zip lubricant to the YKK Aquaseal track periodically to keep the zipper operating smoothly. Store the suit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, preferably hung on a wide-shoulder hanger to maintain the shape of the neck and cuff seals. Always ensure the suit is completely dry before folding or storing for long periods.
