Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
This VidaXL Luxury Basin is designed for above-counter installation. Please follow these general steps, always referring to any provided manufacturer's instructions for detailed guidance:
- Preparation: Ensure your counter or console surface is clean, level, and strong enough to support the basin's weight.
- Positioning: Carefully place the basin in the desired position on the counter, ensuring proper alignment with the drain opening.
- Sealing: Apply a waterproof silicone sealant around the base of the basin where it meets the countertop. This creates a watertight seal and helps secure the basin in place.
- Drain Installation: Install a compatible 4.5 cm drain pipe (not included) according to its specific instructions. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
- Faucet Installation: Install your chosen faucet (not included) on the counter or wall, depending on its design, ensuring proper water connections.
- Curing: Allow the sealant to cure completely as per its manufacturer's recommendations before using the basin.
Compatibility
- Locations: This versatile basin is suitable for use in bathrooms, washrooms, powder rooms, cosmetic rooms, garages, kitchens, or even workplaces. Its elegant design makes it an adornment for any living space.
- Countertops: Compatible with various countertop materials that can accommodate its above-counter installation, such as solid wood, laminate, stone, or composite materials. Ensure the countertop is sturdy.
- Faucets: Designed to be paired with either counter-mounted or wall-mounted faucets, depending on your aesthetic preference and plumbing setup.
Care & Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: For daily cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive soap. The matt finish can show water spots, so regular wiping is recommended.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scourers, strong acids, alkalis, or bleach-based products, as these can damage the ceramic's matt finish and surface.
- Stain Removal: For stubborn stains, use a ceramic-specific cleaner or a paste of baking soda and water, applied gently with a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly afterward.
- Preventing Damage: Avoid dropping heavy or sharp objects into the basin, which could chip or crack the ceramic.
- Safety Note: Keep children away from the assembly area during installation. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
