FAQs

Is this ball suitable for competitive league matches?

No, this is a retro-style heritage ball designed for display or light casual play, not for professional or competitive matches.

What size is the ball?

The ball is a standard size 5, which is the official size used in adult professional football.

Is the crest printed or embossed?

The crest is embossed, providing a tactile and durable finish consistent with the vintage design.

Can I use this ball outdoors on concrete?

We do not recommend using it on concrete or rough asphalt, as this will significantly accelerate wear on the faux leather surface.

Is it officially licensed?

Yes, this is 100% officially licensed Manchester City FC merchandise.

Does it come inflated?

Depending on shipping regulations, the ball may arrive deflated. You will likely need a standard ball pump to reach the desired pressure.

Troubleshooting

Ball losing air pressure over time

This is common with footballs; ensure the valve is clean and use a small amount of silicone oil on the pump needle before inserting.

Surface scuffs from light play

Gently wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing, as faux leather can be sensitive to abrasion.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Authentic vintage aesthetic
High-quality embossed detailing
Ideal for fan memorabilia collections
Officially licensed by Manchester City FC
Standard size 5 for display compatibility

Cons

Not intended for high-intensity competitive use
Material may wear if used frequently on abrasive surfaces
Requires proper storage to prevent surface damage

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Inflation: Ensure you use a standard ball pump with a lubricated needle. Avoid over-inflating, as this may strain the panels.
Cleaning: Use a dry or lightly dampened microfiber cloth to wipe the surface. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges that could damage the embossed crest.
Storage: Keep the ball in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the faux leather from drying out or fading. Displaying it on a dedicated ball stand is recommended to keep the shape consistent.
