FAQs

What vehicles is this CVJ boot compatible with?

This boot is designed for universal use on most cars and car-derived vans, fitting joint diameters from 56mm to 116mm and shaft diameters from 19mm to 28mm.

Do I need special tools to install this boot?

While it can be installed manually, it is designed for optimal efficiency with air-operated CV boot installation tools. A fitting kit with clips and a cutting guide is included.

What is the boot made of?

The boot is constructed from high-quality, durable neoprene material.

Can I use this boot on a truck or larger van?

This boot is specified for cars and car-derived vans. For larger commercial vehicles, a different, larger-sized CV boot may be required.

What is included in the fitting kit?

The fitting kit typically includes the necessary retaining clips and a cutting guide to assist with installation.

How do I determine the correct size for my vehicle?

Measure the diameter of the CV joint and the shaft where the boot will attach. This boot fits joint diameters of 56-116mm and shaft diameters of 19-28mm.

Troubleshooting

Boot does not stretch enough to fit over the joint

Ensure you are using an air-operated installation tool. Verify the joint diameter is within the 56-116mm range. Check for any obstructions on the joint or shaft.

Clips do not hold the boot securely

Ensure the correct size clips are used and they are properly crimped. Double-check that the boot is seated correctly on the shaft and at the joint.

Tearing during installation

Lubricate the joint sufficiently. Use caution and appropriate tools to avoid snagging or overstretching the neoprene material.
