This oval coffee table by AKA is designed for homeowners who value a clutter-free living space and minimalist, modern aesthetics. Its primary benefit is the combination of a sophisticated, curved design with functional sliding cabinet doors that hide away remotes, books, and living room essentials. A notable caveat for potential buyers is that the closed storage design means items stored inside are not immediately accessible, requiring a moment to slide the doors open compared to open-shelf alternatives.

Yes, some assembly is required to attach the base and ensure the sliding door tracks are properly aligned.
The doors are designed to remain on the tracks for the intended storage function, though they may be removed if maintenance is required.
The table is built with a durable structure suitable for standard living room items like books, drinks, and decor.
While the matte finish is durable, it is best to use coasters for drinks to prevent water rings from sitting on the surface for extended periods.
The oval shape is specifically chosen to save space compared to bulky square tables, but please verify the dimensions against your available floor area before purchasing.
Clear any dust or debris from the internal door tracks and ensure the unit is sitting on a perfectly level surface.
Wipe the area with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth; the matte finish is designed to release fingerprints easily without requiring heavy chemicals.
Assembly of the unit should be performed on a soft surface to avoid scratching the matte finish. Ensure all fasteners are tightened securely to maintain the stability of the oval base. Regarding compatibility, the brown finish pairs best with neutral color palettes, mid-century modern decor, or industrial-style homes. For care, use a soft microfiber cloth for dusting. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges that could compromise the integrity of the fingerprint-resistant coating. If the doors become stiff, check the tracks for dust or debris build-up and wipe them clean.
