Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility:
- Always consult your vehicle's owner's manual to confirm that the 0W-20 viscosity grade and fully synthetic oil type are recommended for your specific engine. Using an incorrect oil grade can lead to engine damage.
- This oil is generally designed for modern gasoline engines that specify a 0W-20 oil.
Setup (Oil Change Process):
- Ensure the engine is warm but not hot. Park the vehicle on a level surface.
- Locate and remove the oil drain plug (refer to your vehicle's manual).
- Drain the old oil into a suitable container.
- Replace the oil drain plug with a new crush washer if recommended.
- Locate and remove the oil filter.
- Lubricate the rubber gasket on the new oil filter with a thin film of new oil.
- Install the new oil filter hand-tight plus an additional 3/4 to 1 turn, or as specified by the filter manufacturer.
- Refill the engine with the specified amount of Liqui Moly Molygen 0W20 oil through the oil filler cap.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, checking for leaks around the drain plug and filter.
- Shut off the engine, wait a few minutes, and check the oil level using the dipstick. Top up if necessary.
Care:
- Follow your vehicle manufacturer's recommended oil change intervals. Using a high-quality synthetic oil like Molygen may allow for extended intervals in some applications, but always adhere to the manual's guidance.
- Dispose of used engine oil and filters responsibly at an authorized recycling center.
